Las Catrinas De Rosy
About This Spot
Stepping into Las Catrinas De Rosy is less about a formal dining experience and more about discovering a hidden local gem where authenticity shines through simplicity. Nestled in an unexpected corner of a busy gas station along Plantation Parkway, this casual spot hums with a comfortable, no-fuss energy that invites both quick stops and leisurely returns. The pace is easygoing—order at the counter, watch the cooks craft fresh sauces and tortillas with care, then find a moment to savor flavors that feel lovingly homemade.
Inside, the atmosphere balances a friendly neighborhood vibe with the practical rhythm of a grab-and-go kitchen. It’s not polished or flashy, but it carries an unpretentious warmth that’s carried equally by the attentive hands in the kitchen and the steady flow of regulars discovering authentic Mexican comfort food. There’s a reassuring sense that here, the food tells the story: richly seasoned, generous, and crafted with an eye on tradition without pretension.
What draws visitors back again and again is the deeply satisfying rhythm of bold, fresh flavors meeting familiar street fare. The experience is centered on sharing good food in its purest form—whether that’s biting into tender, richly marinated tacos with handmade corn tortillas, or enjoying stacked plates of loaded fries crowned with hearty meats and melted cheese. Each item has a soulful quality, the kind that comes from cooking with a genuine connection to rooted recipes and fresh ingredients made visible through small, thoughtful details like scratch-made salsas swirling with layers of heat and depth.
Las Catrinas De Rosy feels like a place where people come not for grandeur but for honest moments around food that comforts and delights. It’s in the quick smiles exchanged at the counter, the nods of appreciation as plates come out, and the subtle, unspoken understanding that sometimes the best dining experiences happen off the beaten path. Here, authenticity is the highlight—carried through each bite and the welcoming, straightforward atmosphere that makes this spot a meaningful stop along the way.

Just stopped by chips market to get some fuel- decided to try this place. I got two carnitas tacos and they were absolutely phenomenal. Legit corn tortillas, salsa was excellent as well. Super quick, reasonable and convenient. I’ll be stopping by more often on my routine trips to Florida!

Okay. Wow. I have heard about this place forever so I gotta try it. Oh myyyy goodness, it was heavenly!! I tried Birria street tacos and Birria loaded fries. My jaw dropped on tacos. Our kids were in agreement. It was BY FAR best tacos we had ever had. Wow. It had so much meat in it and it was very very tasty.

This restaurant is in the Shell gas station in Malbis. The food was very good. The service is a walk up and order food type, then pick up your food counter. Nice people run this place. The prices are much better than any other, so you'll get a fair amount of food for the cost. I liked it and will be back.

Had modest expectations when I realized this place was in a gas station. The birria tacos are phenomenal. Best Mexican rice you will ever find. Refreshing to see the cooks wearing gloves, and I saw a lady making red sauce from scratch in an immersion blender. Fresh and authentic! Can't wait to try more of their menu items! Update: went back the next day. Best burrito I've ever had!

Delicious Barria Tacos!!!! Located inside a gas station. The young lady working the counter was indifferent about service, or perhaps just life in general. Please don't let the atmosphere and employee dissuade you from having these AWESOME tacos!
